Queen of the Photo-Bomb

The other day I had to take Tevye to the optometrist, because when we registered him for school it was discovered that he has no depth perception. Now, this came as quite a shock to me, as he and I play hockey in the basement all the time, and he’s got a one-timer as good as anything! He’s never had any issue playing soccer, or given any indication that this might be an issue.

So off we trundled to the optometrist last week, and it was determined that he does indeed have vision issues and will be needing glasses. We managed to get some frames picked out that we’re all happy with, and now we’re just waiting for them to be ready.

When we got home, I wanted to get some pictures of Tevye without glasses, and hopefully some nice ones, and not his ridiculous faces. This process was going along just fine, right up until the moment that Saarah noticed I was taking pictures.

Enter “Queen of the Photo-Bomb”! If someone has a camera out, Saarah makes it her mission to be in the picture. It doesn’t matter if it’s a serious picture, or just people sitting on the beach. It’s almost as if she has a sixth sense about these things. Perhaps the electromagnetic field around the camera resonates deep within her recesses, causing a deep urge to come running! Heaven forbid there should be a picture taken that doesn’t include our tiny princess!

Of course, Tevye thought this was pretty darn hilarious and his laughter resulted in a nice picture of him, well, what we can see of him, anyways. Like George W. Bush, I shall now hang a huge banner saying “Mission Accomplished”, whether anyone agrees with this fact, or not.

Now where did I put that aircraft carrier?
