About

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI’ve been working on this blog, off and on, for a year and a half, and of course it would make sense that I fill in this part. WordPress wont stop bugging me to do it. “Hey Moishe, you should really fill in the “About You” section so that readers can learn a little about you.” Two months later “Hey, have you filled it in yet? No?! Why not?” I tried talking to the computer screen, telling the site that I’m busy, and that if I can manage to remember to blog at all, then it was a good day. “Hey Nitwit! We know where you live and we’re going to come and get you, and then force you to fill in your “About You” section.” At this point, I got rather smug and responded by stating that I’ve also never filled in the “Location” field.

A year went by, I started running a daycare out of our home, and my daily blogging ceased. Well recently I told the daycare kids to “hit the road”, and with all this extra time, and with all sorts of pestering from friends, family, and fans of the blog, I decided it best to start blogging again. The very first day I logged on to WordPress again, what do you think I was greeted with?

“How about you fill in the “About You” section so readers can learn a little about you”

Well, WordPress, I’ve done it. It may not be what you were looking for. It may not really even be about me, but the dreaded, obnoxious, pain-in-the-pants “About You” section is now, thankfully, filled in.

I like your about page! Just found your blog today, looks like a fun read. Enjoy your little ones!

    • Thanks for your kind words. The kids are always a source of entertainment and enjoyment(well, most of the time, anyways)

I just stumbled on your blog and I really like it! Keep it up! And I totally agree with your last statement there. My own father was a stay-at-home father as well, and he does not regret being one the least bit. Fast-forward twenty years he would oftentimes laugh when he suddenly remembers the ridiculous things that we used to do as kids. He said to me at one point that one of the greatest enjoyments of his life was that he was there to see his children grow. Live by the day he would also add, for everyday is an adventure especially with children!

      • It is, without a doubt, the best job in the world.

        Cheers!

I’m stupidly excited about this blog. Most of the blogs I read are in the southern US (California, Texas, etc), I guess because that’s where half of the English-speaking world lives… But reading here is an exercise in familiarity – Canadian hockey teams! Timmies! I think I’ve been to that park! MY SON HAS THOSE SOCKS FROM SUPERSTORE! Yeah, I have an enthusiasm problem.

    • Wow, such a positive and enthusiastic response to my blog! I find your excitement to be quite exciting.

I really don’t feel that there’s any such thing as an “enthusiasm problem”, especially when it’s brought on by socks from Superstore. What can I say? They make nice socks.

      Glad to have you aboard.

Greetings! Just letting you know that I’ve nominated you for the Kreativ Blogger Award because I have enjoyed reading your blog and the entertainment it has provided.

If you wish to accept you must follow a few simple rules, thank the blogger who has nominated you, tell your readers about you and pass on the honor to some of your favorite bloggers.

The award won’t make you rich or famous, in fact it means nothing more than someone appreciates your writing, but it is the thought that counts.
